One of the most asked questions we receive from our customers is about the security features located throughout our facilities and how they work. While there is no magic formula of features that can fully deter crime and theft at any facility, we employ state-of-the-art technology in our facility that monitors YourSpace Storage and your items day and night.
Individually Alarmed Units
At most locations, every single unit is equipped with its own alarm. If a storage unit is opened without the associated access code entered at our entry gate, an alarm sounds and the unauthorized entry is logged. This feature allows us to double-check that anyone entering the facility is only accessing their authorized units.
Digital Video Surveillance
Digital cameras continuously monitor our facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Strategically placed at high-traffic areas throughout the property, these allow us to keep a real-time watchful eye over the storage facility, with recorded video files stored for a certain time period so that they can be referenced later if needed.
Motion-Sensored Lighting
Many of our storage buildings feature sensored lighting, which works as both a security feature and an eco-friendly one. Lighting remains off in our buildings until motion is detected, allowing you to use a brightly lit building anytime you access your unit while conserving energy.
Keypad Gate & Building Access
Each facility features a keypad access at our entry gates, with most locations offering additional keypads at storage building entrances. Our entry gates and building entrances are each equipped with keypad entry systems, allowing only those entry codes corresponding to a unit inside to enter the building. This prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to the facility and within buildings where they’re not storing.
